I've got my eye on you. Are you paying attention? You funny cat with an almost cheshire grin. And to think your name is Jackie, you little Buddha you...Are you trying to fool me?

On Pause While Breathing
Today was like a pause between God's breath. There seemed to be a stillness in the ether. I was active in a project and then was compelled to sit down on my little couch. I felt drawn into a cosmic pause. Everything within and without was still, quiet, like in hibernation mode, or poised and pregnant, holding yet not. On pause while breathing. In oneness--on pause, still... hmmmm....

A Prayer forThe Noble Turkey
The wild common turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) of North America is a far cry from its domesticated relative, but domestication and selective breeding have not gotten rid of the farm-raised turkey’s natural instincts. The wild turkey prefers woodlands near water. It eats seeds, insects, and an occasional frog or lizard. When alarmed it may run rapidly to cover; it can fly strongly only for short distances (about 0.4 km, or 0.25 mile). Behavior observed in domesticated turkeys rescued from factory farms shows that, when given the opportunity, they forage, roost in trees, preen, and take dustbaths. Contrary to their reputation, according to animal researchers, turkeys are sociable and intelligent; even hunters concede that turkeys are smart and wily.
Thank you blessed turkey bird for giving your life that I may know the joy of your flesh, your spirit. May you know gentle loving care always, may you be treated with respect and kindness. I eat you today with a blessing in my heart for all that you are. Amen.

You Are Not Alone--Ever!
.jpg)
Some of you may be celebrating this Thanksgiving with warmth, laughter, hugs, turkey and pumpkin pie. Some of you may feel stranded, like the marble that rolled away from the group, stuck with the dust bunnies in outer space, abandoned under some old furniture. And some of you may feel stranded in broad daylight, surrounded by people, feeling invisible, or worse yet, as visible and broken as a car wreck on the side of the road, strangers gathering to gawk at the shattered glass.
For many, the holidays can bring up discomfort. They can be some weird checkpoint in life--where you find yourself comparing your entire life to the fantasies you have in your head of how your cousin, neighbor, or sister-in-law is pulling it off. Let me tell you something, no one is pulling this off. No one is spared challenge or confusion in this life. Everyone, consciously or not, is seeking to find peace, comfort and communion with their own soul.
From Tama Kieves
However it feels know you are never alone, no matter what. Grab hold of that attention point and direct it toward as much good as you can fathom. It is all around for those that can focus in on it. Love to All.

Devotion
I fell in love with this photograph on display in an art show at the Center for Spiritual Living in Santa Rosa, California. I didn't have the $75 asking price. It grabbed my heart and I feel gifted from simply standing in front of this image. It says it all for me. "The adoring acknowledgment of all that lies beyond us—the glory that fills heaven and earth. It is the response that conscious beings make to their Creator, to the Eternal Reality from which they came forth.
