Day Tripping with Friends

If all the world were apple pie,
And all the sea were ink,
And all the trees were bread-and-cheese
What should we have to drink?

I drank our laughter mixed with Joy
& Michael was there too.
We snacked on forest stillness deep
Then counted fairy rings and things
On a Saturday afternoon.

Can't Get Enough of Trees

TREES
by Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by people like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Blessings of the Goddess

May the blessings of the Goddess rest upon you,
May her peace abide in you.
May her presence illuminate your heart
Now and forever more.

A Tender Yes

Tender "Yes"
©2003, Melissa Phillippe

As I say a tender "yes"
to everything that comes to me
My heart is open.
I am free.

I open to All That Is.
It brings me to my knees.
I surrender.
I am Peace.

Playing Tag with God

God and I are engaged in a glorious little game of tag. I chase God with my words of praise and acknowledgement for a co-worker, a grocery bagger, a wild deer, a flowering plant. God reveals Itself and is tagged when It shares a secret smile, a recognition in deep pools of eyes, a timely rustle among the blossoms. And this personal revelation of Divine Love and Its reciprocal tag is my prize. Again!! I quietly squeal like a child at play. And our game of tag continues way past the end of the day and the setting sun. Where will you reveal yourself again, how may I tag you again, and again? Tag me, tag me!!
