Rosary Beads

I love the rosary beads, so beautiful. There are 54 beads on a rosary, half of 108, which is a sacred number of beads found in the eastern malas, their beaded equivalent to the western rosary. The wholeness of existence is represented in the number 108 as found in the sacred geometry of the Vedic sages. 1+0+8=9 The number 9 also represents wholeness. It is believed that 108 repetitions of a mantra or prayer gives more power to the words and intention. I will look for a rosary to go with my mala beads.
